6/27/09

well today was our last day at our retreat place and though it was amazing they had to kick us out! we had breakfast this morning and again I enjoyed yummy fruit! :D We had worship and bible study with our M and it was very refreshing and about daily seeking Christ's face and going to him. We read a passage about Jesus going alone to spend his time with God and though I have read it many many times, it was a slap in the face for sure. i really felt convicted on how much time I literally spend on facebook compared to the amount of time I give to my Father everyday. Last night we divided between males and us precious girls and had marriage talk. Though none of us are married, it is definitely on our minds if not close for some of us. For me... ya God has someone out there, but as I have learned this summer and seen it myself - I must be patient! And guess what patience is not only waiting your turn, but always being okay if your turn never comes. I know Christ will take that desire away for a husband if he has called me to a single life in order to devote my whole life to HIM. No worries, but i did learn a lot in our session with the M female! Since my team won the amazing race this week at the start of the retreat we had more free time to ourselves while everyone cleaned up the came and then we were to head out to the bus stop! One of our interns lost their phone along the way back to the cave, but he went back to it and found it! We had a great dinner in Shibuya tonight and am definitely ready for bed tonight!

PR:
-my future husband if I have been called to have one!
-patience for all the interns in relationships
-convictions of spending time with our father!
-high school interns and meeting them!!! UNITY!

Well it is Friday and day two of our intern retreat :) Even though I stayed up late I slept pretty great in my room with Katrina! We each have a twin bed and it is great not being in a room with 10 others girls! Don't get me wrong I love all my intern girls, but being away is always enjoyable :D so we had breakfast this morning at 9 am and goodness it was so great to eat some fruit! In Japan fruit is so expensive and hard to buy with the limited food money that we get, so i was stoked about apples and bananas!!! YUMMY! For sure when i get home this summer I will be headed to the grocery and buying me sooo many fruits :) We had a bible study this morning after breakfast and had worship too! Worship was so great to be in a bigger room and really focus on ourselves and how we wanted to worship our father! I love it :D So i really don't remember how much I have told you about this place we are at, but I know I have shared it is by Mt. Fuji and is a lake! So a small lesson i have learned this week from my wonderful guy interns/brothers in Christ! Many years ago... I do not remember this part of the lesson :D Mt. Fuji erupted and created 5 lakes that look like fingers and today and this weekend I am on one of the 5 lakes! Oh so last night i forgot to share with you that I went swimming in the freezing lake with 2 of the guys and Katrina! so much fun, but definitely crazy! Welp that is me i guess :) After worship this morning we had sloppy joes!!! That is so Texan to me and i love that... haha And we had SWEET TEA!!!! yes, i miss food from home but enjoy Japanese food still! Today the girls, well some of us went to the onsin which is a public bath. there are 5 huge pools/baths that the girls have. It is different experience, but definitely something to experience about the culture. The guys of course is separated and from what I remember them saying they had 4 pools.baths and a sauna like we did :) One of the baths outside that i enjoyed was with 20 other women and filled with roses! So BEAUTIFUL! After leaving the onsin after about an hour we went swimming in the lake with several interns! It was warmer than it was last night for sure! We got out and went to dinner with Caleb and Teron at a nice Italian restaurant and had such a great time! I had a squid and artichoke pizza and loved it :) IMAGINE that! :D We had an awesome prayer time tonight for the nation of Japan after dinner. We just all poured prayer out to Christ and his people here! Then afterward we had a bomb fire together and had roasted marsh mellows! So much fun spending time together and pouring more and more love into each other! I went for a 30 minute or more walk alone around the beautiful lake and enjoyed it so much! To be alone and cry out to Jesus in his beautiful nation is great! :D Tonight was another great night. A few of us sat out on one of the many docks and talked about things and got to know each other a little more! :D

day 29 --- AMAZING RACE!

6/25/09

Well today is the day we travel to our retreat and we have to get there by doing the AMAZING RACE! I was pretty excited when i heard about it because i am so competitive about things like that! SOOO we had a short meeting at 8 and then we were to take off at 9! Everyone couldn't leave till 9 because we had to allow our checkpoint people to get to their location! So as 9 came along we took off and had to get to a train station and solve a riddle in order to find the checkpoint. We found the intern at the point an had to solve 3 riddles in order to get the next one. At this point we were in 2nd place. So we had to get to the next station, find a statue, take a team photo with it and continue to the next checkpoint. As we got on the train to get to checkpoint number 2, we ditched a team and now got in the lead! So once arriving to the next station we had to climb a hill about half a mile or so up and found the next intern with the next clue. So we got our next clue and only had one more train ride to get to the retreat! We jumped on and were secure in our first place lead by at least one hour :) We arrived at the lake and it was breathtaking! So amazing and so beautiful! I can't wait for the next two days here :) So we beat all the teams to our cabin by an hour a half, earned 1000 yen and had "no cleaning" privileges for the weekend! We were able to pick our beds in the cabins first and it was great! I stayed with the 4 girls in a huge cabin while the other 10 girls stayed together in another cabin! they were both very nice cabins and then we went searching for the other 3 lost teams! Eventually they showed up and we had dinner together! Pizza :D and played volleyball (:D) and rode bikes around the beautiful lake! At night one of the guy interns took me out to the lake because i had yet to see Mt. Fuji. So i am thinking it is one of the mountains on the lake and he is like SILLY girl look up! So hello HUGE MT. FUJI! In the view were rows and rows of forests and grasslands and that was as far as I looked because the clouds started. WELL... little did I know above those clouds was FUJI! Breathtaking let me just tell you that :) So I sat there for a good while just thanking God for such a beautiful sight! It was a fun night and we ended up staying up till like 2 am playing phase 10 with 3 of the interns! :D

6-24

This is my one day of work this week :) With meetings and my off day and then having the rest of this week for our intern retreat today has been my only work day. I had plans to meet one of my contacts today at my university, but she was unable to come. So then she offered having one of her friends that I met last week to come meet me. So of course I was willing! Well it ended up that she couldn't come either, so i stuck with Brian one of my teammates and met with his contact! It ended up being one of the girls birthday!!! We had a small celebration together and sang happy birthday in english to her! Her friends brought her an amazing cheesecake with tone of whip cream and strawberries on it! For those of you who don't know... i can eat a zillion strawberries and if i wouldn't die I would eat tons of bowls of whip cream! :D so i was so excited about this precious girls cake! It was great and I was eating tiny bites because I didn't want to steal her cake... so let me just share with you the girls laughed at me! they were like you are AMERICAN why are you eating Japanese size bites! lol i thought but was funny :D After the short birthday party the girls crashed out on the table and funny thing is i was in the middle of them, so I decided to read one of the books I am reading this summer. Screwtape letters. So i was able to read a little bit before they woke up and had to go to class. After they left I went to meet Brian and the basketball club that we have been meeting with! They had about 15 minutes left, so i went in to watch with them. I love these facts.... #1 You don't wear shoes inside the gym. #2 You wear whatever you have on, girls may be wearing dresses playing basketball! #3 you trip on a basketball if it rolls at your feet #4 You laugh hysterically at the girls :D #5 They do not know the rule of no TRAVELING!!! It is so much fun to work with the basketball club here at our university :D After their practice they all went to class and Brian and I headed home because we were pretty gross. It rained today as we walked to our university, so our shoes were slimy and stunk! We got back pretty early and slowly the other teams trickled into the apartment with the same rain problem! We leave in the morning for our retreat we are all very excited! We will be at one of the five lakes created by Mt. Fuji's eruption! WOO HOO! I am stoked! Katrina and I made some videos for some of my friends along with some of the guys! I mentioned how we make our apartment fun and let me tell you it was great!

6.23.09

Well today is are oreintation day since we switched it from yesterday. As with everytime I meet with the other WG leaders we shared our prayer requests that I would lik to share with you later in this blog and talked about how distribution is going for all of us. This past week when we had the Brushy Creek team we were able to get a lot more done than we could have with just our team, so i was so excited to share that :) Our map is getting filled in pretty good and I wish i could show you, but I can't :) Imagine a map or a large rectangle and start in the middle of it. We have gone from the middle north and south and have covered many blocks. So now your map that you are imagining is black in the middle about 1/5 complete! So exciting :) We had an awesome worship time together and were able to share great news about all of our ministry spots. On campus ministrys there has been amazing work being done! Some campus' have been inviting our interns to their classrooms! We had a small talent show tonight during our fellowship time together and it was a lot of fun :) I didn't do anything because I couldn't think of a talent, so i decided to just watch :) It was funny and some of the interns have hidden talents! I know this is short, but as with all oreintations days we just meet and hangout together :)

Wigtake PR's:
-Great contacts are being connected. pray that this sontinues and they seek to want more from HIM so that we can continue to reach them with HIS word!

June 22, 2009

Well usually Mondays are orientation days for all of our meetings, but we have switched our Monday and our tuesday this week, SO today is my day off :) i took care of all my emails today and worked on my blogs, but obviously didn't catch up on them :) i have to share some great news with you because it excites me and may be very helpful to keeping my blogs up to date! BUT I must go ahead and tell you during our retreat in a few days i will not have a computer for 4 days so I am going to fall even further behind on my blogs! Don't worry though i will eventually catch up :) We now have Internet in our room! That is such great news!!! Now I can sit on mine or katrina's bed and use the computer instead of sitting on a hard tile floor in the hallway by the smelly guy's room! So I didn't do very much today but rest and enjoy being alone for a little while. It rained today so some of the interns were back before dinner time because they needed out of the rain, but it was okay because the girl interns were really able to connect with one another tonight. The ILT team was gone for meetings tonight instead of in the morning which means they finally get to sleep in which is great for them! The girls and I made funny dance videos together and just really loved having fun! Sometimes times can get boring living in this apartment with so many girls and guys, but we like to make it fun you never get to old for dress up, so we all put on crazy outfits and hats and jewelry and danced around :) Good times :) the videos are on my facebook if you have me added as a friend :D ENJOY! lol we definitely annoyed the boys, but who cares about them anyways :D

Requests-
*That the girls will continue to grow together in unity :)
*Rest for all the interns
*Preparation for our retreat to the lake!
*New contacts at our sites this week!

6-21

It is SUNDAY!!! And it is raining :) So instead of going to the park today we had church at our apartment and it went really well. We had a bible study over Acts 5 :12 -42 and 2 timothy 3:13-15. If you would like to read it to know what i am referring to, I encourage you to do so! It is crazy to me that even in the ancient days when there was such great things happening.. Satan still tried to get in the way. And for the interns right now that is so huge - we have seen so many amazing salvations within the last week, but yet there is so much crap that the devil continues to through at us. BUT - We will endure this together and grow together through everything Satan throws at us this summer! So after our bible study and worship we had a town hall meeting with the M's and their families and all the interns. Next week we have 20 high school interns coming to join us for the rest of the summer, so there are things we want to talk about and fix before they get here! it went really well and we met for about 2 hours and then had the rest of the day off together to spend our time together and loving on each other :D i stayed with Katrina's one of my good friends here this summer and we had plans to meet a friend of hers that she went to high school with in Cali! Well we went to meet him at starbucks and ended up waiting for him for about 2 or 3 hours. Katrina was really upset that he never showed up, but we kn0w there must have been a reason so we ended up leaving and going on with the rest of our day. Hopefully she will hear from him and be able to meet with him sometime! Tonight we found out that one of our interns uncle passed away. :( Definitely was a sad moment and we all feel for her and not being able to be with her family during this hard time. there are 2 cousins that are both younger than 15 that are part of this family... Well my team only has 3 days left before our retreat to the lake! We will not have a volunteer team till we return from the retreat.

Prayer requests:
-Amy and the loss of her uncle. Please lift her family up in prayer through this hard time.
-Brushy Creek team flew home today, one of the team members will head off in two weeks to go on another trip. Please pray for rest and a prepared heart!
-Katrina's friend that Christ will show him the change HE has done in trina's life.
-Intern retreat that we can all push through strong for the nest 3 days before the retreat!

day twenty-four

6/20/09

Well today I was able to catch up on a little sleep because our volunteer team had their debriefing this morning. Brian met with them and our M to talk about everything that went on during their time here. It went very well and they were able to reflect and offer great advice for next summer. They would like to come volunteer next summer which is so great to hear! Rachel and I met them around 2 pm to do one more round of 5ME at Mitaka station :D The leader of the volunteer team mt a contact yesterday, the one that wanted to meet for bible study today. So Brian and him went to meet our new contact for the first bible study! How exciting and it went amazing! He accepted Christ yesterday and is so excited to already dive into the WORD! Two of our volunteers met a Christian photographer today who was able to introduce them to another Christian in the area. it is so amazing to see how God is slowly bringing his people to us! Everyday we have been able to meet someone who is a Christian and or who prays to accept JC. So our GOD is amazing and just wanted to clarify that again :) Tonight is Brushy Creek's last night so we went out to eat sukiyaki and let me tell you it was amazing! Sukiyaki if you don't know is unlimited beef and pork strips that you cook yourself at your table. You have an hour and a half to eat unlimited meat and unlimited vegetables and noodles :) So i loved this and let me tell you I ate so much! Our team blessed us with this meal, which was greatly appreciated. I had an eating competition (imagine that) with one of the guys on the team, haha. Tonight their was a GOSPEL concert in Tokyo! How amazing is this :D There is black gospel that tours around and some Japanese people pay lots of money to join the choir and sing with them. Sad thing is these Japanese that join them are not all Christians... :( Our interns that didn't have teams went to the concert and invited their contacts. From what I heard it was a great black gospel concert and their was definitely God being praised, but it was still a lot of lost people. Tonight was a great day and fun night with Brushy Creek. They leave in the morning!

PR-
.The BC team's safety home and their obedience to come to Japan
.The two contacts they led to Christ and the bible studies that will soon start up
.Those who attended the gospel concert who yet do not know who JC is, that the concert will have opened their eyes and started a spark.
.Our week off as a team with no volunteers serving under us

thank you so much for investing in my summer through prayer

6/19/09

Well today started off pretty well and like Wednesday we have one teammate off work we only have two of us working today. We divided the Brushy Creek into 2 teams again, but this time I was able to go to the campus and Rachel went to he train station! The two younger guys and I headed to the university and we prayer walked for a good while before the lunch hour. I was able to find all the fields for their sporting events and was STOKED about that! I got to watch some of the golf classes going on and it was fun to pray for these college students! Anyway we went our separate ways and I went to meet one of my new friends at lunch and the guys went to another basketball practice. I met with my newest contact for lunch and she invited her friend! It went great and we were able to share fun times together :) They taught me how to make ramen the RIGHT way and it was funny for me :) It was a lot of fun to st down with these two girls and invest in them! We have a date next wednesday during the lunch hour and I am so excited about that. She has said she will bring more friends to meet me :) I got passed this contact from one of the California Baptist students! Praise God that that team made great contacts and were able to pass them along to our team! So while I was eating with this presh girl, the two guys from our volunteer team were at basketball practice with their contacts! So after lunch I went and watched the soccer practice that was going on with one of the guys and the other went ahead and headed to his lunch time. Eventually we made our way to the train station for 5 ME!!! It went really well and one of our volunteers was able to help someone make our Father his SAVIOR!!! We had been there for a good while, talking to few people and this young man came along and accepted Christ! And guess what! He wants to start bible study tomorrow :) That is so exciting and great to hear! We had our friendship party for the Brushy creek team tonight at shakey's piza but ended up not eating there. There were 3 young ladies that showed up for the party and they were ALL christians!!! How amazing is that! :D We went out to eat a an indian curry place because Shakey's ended up being really busy and loud. The ladies were SO sweet and they made the team a cake to take to their hostel with them to eat! they also helped us to find and call the movie theaters nearby because TRANSFORMERS 2 came out here in Japan today! We were so excited to go see it and so rachel, one of the younger volunteers and I went to see it! It was so great and fun to experience watching a movie in Japan. The movie was in english of course, but with Japanese subtitles!! How great :) It was a blast and we had a great day today as a whole team

prayer requests:
-new friends and contacts made during 5ME today
-friendship party was a success
-Rachel is meeting with these 3 christians to learn more!
-NEW BELIEVER!!! Pray for his heart :)

6/18

TODAY was a distribution day and our whole team was here alongside our Brushy Creek team AND we had a M and their family here with us! We split up into 3 groups and went into 3 different directions to start our work! We were able to cover a lot of area and like I said yesterday I AM HAPPY about that! Everyday we are getting closer to reaching everyone in the Mitaka area! So we started our 5ME today pretty early and it went great! I was standing there praying as the people walked by me and after a while as sweet older lady walked up to me! She started speaking to me in Japanese and I tried to tell her I didn't know Japanese, but she kept talking to me! It was so cute because I couldn't communicate with her, but she still wanted to stand there and talk to me. So I made conversation with her about the little band that was playing at our station and I enjoyed it so much! So she eventually left and I remained in prayer for this precious lady :D Anyway so I went along with my 5ME and talked with a few random people that would stop by, but never was able to present the gospel to these people. Eventually it was a time that I sat down on a little bench and started praying for my team and the people they were speaking to. The little lady came back to me and sat down beside me! I was so excited because it is unlike Japanese to just walk up tap someone on the shoulder and sit down by them! She started speaking in Japanese with me again and I just kept talking to her in english even though neither one of use understood each other! So when she went to leave she handed me a box of sushi rolls that she bought for me! It was so sweet and it made me so happy! It was just so sweet because neither one of us could talk to the other, but she still wanted to give me a gift! I love the Japanese and Christ continues to tug at my heart for this nation! :D There were a few children that came up to me after this older lady left and they were balancing their umbrellas on the hand and so I LOVE CHILDREN... so then I wanted to join and I started balancing my umbrella too :) It was just cute! Tonight is guy's night so all the girls were able to hangout without the guys in the apartment! We are just enjoying ourselves :)

pR:
-The presh lady that gave me sushi today, that i will be able to reach out to her again
-The 3 little band members that play at our station everyday
-The small children of japan! i want to reach out to them :0)
-Brushy Creek has their friendship party tomorrow!
-Pray that friend that are interested in the gospel come and join us for dinner!
-The guys and their night with each other and the M families

6/17/09

Today was a fun day :) It was our teammate Rachel's day off, so it was just Brian and I with the four men from Brushy Creek! Well since there are two older men on the team they can not go onto the college university. So, because of that they came with me to Mitaka station in order to do distribution within the community. The younger guys met with Brian in order to do campus ministry at Seikei. My team and I started our distribution and we got so much accomplished! We were able to go through at least 12 stacks of tracts with 150 in each! I was so excited because we are getting closer each time to distributing to every house and apartment in Mitaka! So the younger guys met with some of the contacts that Brian had already made at the college. They went to a basketball practice which was tons of fun from what I heard from the guys! The practice was not a real college team, but just a club type of team the university has. The girls were on one side of the court and the guys on the other and they were doing lay-ups! BUT they thing is they were like okay guy we are doing run and shoot! The guys on my team were so confused but came to find out it was just doing layups! lol :) They had fun and were able to connect with these guys and draw closer in the friendships! In the meantime, the two teammates that were with me, well we finished and went to eat :) We enjoyed a real authentic Japanese meal at a little hole in the wall place :) The lady was so sweet and she gave me two smalls gifts! She gave me a small cow bell that from being told from my M is the good luck mascot of the year. The people buy this cow and place it in their home to have good luck all year. Each year the mascot changes and the temple makes more money from the purchases. After everyone had their lunches and basketball fun we met back up at our park to try out 5ME with park ministry as well! I was able to speak with a new mother who shared with me that her new favorite book was the pregnancy book she just read. when I asked her why she told me it was because she learned so much about what to do while prego and how to take care of the baby before, during and after the pregnancy. I was so excited to share with her that I had a new idea for a book on how to now raise her child! I offered her the gospel and shared with her a lot about it and it was a great conversation! Once we headed back to that station we started 5ME and we had a girl come along to one of the volunteers and accept CHRIST! How amazing is this :) She will not be able to meet for bible study until July, so we pray she will stay on fire to learn more about HIM! Also at another station today we had our intern teammates lead a girl to Christ! His work is being done in this nation one person at a time surrendering their life to him!!! It is such a joy to see his kingdom's work everyday here in Japan! :) Today was a blessed day and I am excited to tell you about our two new sisters in Christ!

PR-
...new believer from our station today who cant meet till July
...new believer from musashi sakai with our intern teammates

twenty = 20

6/16

Well today was a great day off :) I woke up at about 10:30 and hung out for a little while with a few girls that had half a day off :) Then you can already guess I laid back down for awhile! I got up eventually and started helping cleaning the apartment a little bit for the little kiddos breakfast here in the morning. I was able to catch up today on my blogs and emails and journals and all the fun stuff! I literally hung out in the cave all day and finally after a shower and getting dressed I finally left at about 6 pm! Amazing right? lol I went to Wal-Mart and bought me 3500 yen in groceries to last for the next 12 to 15 days! I got me some cereal, milk, ice cream, snacks, yogurt, apple juice, sushi, rice, 2 loaves of bread, lunch meat, dumplings, and coke :) Gotta love the goodies at the apartment :) I came back and hung out with the girls and caught up on their days! We had accountability with the girls tonight and I got to talk to my group of girls and connect. My partners are Kelcey and Kat and we are slowly opening up to each other :) After accountability group time we came up to the journeywomen's apartment and are painting our nails and watching a chick flick together :) We are watching Maid in Manhattan right now actually and it is great :) I realized today I am not digesting enough of God's word as I need to and should so this week I am really going to focus on digesting what I read instead of just reading through scriptures like I feel like I do at times.

PR:
-Wyoming friend's mission work this summer
-Girls accountability with each other
-Digesting the word
-Starting out tomorrow strong for the week
-Distribution starts tomorrow all week!

monday - day 19!

6/15

MONDAY = MEETINGS :)

So today is all intern orientation day and so it was a fun day of meetings :) But I love it and all of it is about the BOTTOM LINE and making his name known in this NATION! So I got to sleep in like always on Mondays and I enjoyed my sleep! Katrina and I are always the last ones to get out of bed, but that is okay :) We started our Wigtake meeting a 2:15 with our journeymen leader and I loved it :) Distribution is going well with all the leaders and our campus ministry is really starting to pick up. We were able to share prayer requests with the other wigtakes and I would like to share with you some of them.

WG PR:
-new campus, pray for opportunities
-encouragement and motivation doing distribution time
-new contacts and the opportunities that are there
-new believers, pray that they follow through in baptism
-5ME is slow for some stations and needs encouragement

So there are some personal prayer requests form wigtakes leaders and I appreciate those of you reading through this and praying over myself and the other interns here in Tokyo this summer. Anyway after the meeting today we had some amazing worship time and for those of you that really know me - know that I love to sing :) I don't care what it sounds like because I am singing to my Father and that is all that matters to me :) Anyways we sang some awesome lyrics to songs and then we did an amazing song of our own. It is something that really touched me today in worship. We just sang out to our God and prayed to him through songs what was on our hearts. I have never had such an amazing touching feeling in worship time like this. I loved it and would love to share with anyone who would like to hear and or know more about what I am talking about! We also got the results to our personality tests back today and were able to get in our teams and learn about each other and special ways to help deal with each other. I must say I learned a lot form this activity about myself and my teammates! We had fellowship time tonight and invited some other M's to our dinner! we had sandwiches which were amazing and some yummy chicken flavored chips! I love the randomness of our Monday night meals! Oh course all the interns sat around and we got to know each a little more through question games and testimony sharing! It is so much fun to sit and play silly games. God just allows us to really pour our hearts out to one another during these Monday night fellowships :D We had a small short prayer and worship time tonight that we are going to start doing more often hopefully. We all like to Korean style pray and just get everything off our hearts at once and then worship together as a team of interns! I love the 30 friends and bros/sis' in Christ! Oh yea and last night I forgot to share about having a movie night upstairs with one of the M families! We watched transformers one together because Wednesday transformers 2 comes out in Japan! hahah before it does in the USA and we are going to all go and watch it together :)

...day...eighteen..

6/14

It is SUNDAY which means the one day all the interns get to join together at one ministry site and have fun spreading HIS name! So we are at our ministry park today and had worship this morning with all the interns, all the M's and their families, and all of our volunteer teams! Right now we have the Kansas Nebraska Super Summer team, the University of Mobile team, the Jim Russell team, and the FBC Newnan choir team! We have been so blessed this summer with volunteers and our summer will continue to send us more volunteers! Our bible study today was over Acts 5:1-11 and I was leading two interns. two Kansas Nebraska girls and myself through it. I feel like we all were able to take something out of the bible study and truly apply it to our lives. God has continued to show me things everyday! I love being so close to him and his people and pray that even when I go home and not directly connected to those working to further his kingdom that I will still be able to live a life like this! I have so many ideas to work with at WBU and can not wait to return for the fall semester and volleyball season! SO EXCITED, but God is using me here right now this summer and that is what I am staying focused on :) Anyway I was able to sit down and talk to a few of our volunteer girls here and just invest in them a little bit! I also can not wait to invest in my two precious high school girl interns that will join Brian and rachel and I soon! Today, like every Sunday is park evangelism day at our whole team's park! I enjoyed reading a lot and being able to catch up on my own things before going out. I love being able to prepare my heart and go to HIM before starting my day! I got to read a little more in my book - Screwtape Letters- and I still highly recommend it to everyone :) Today our team went out and did several different ministry areas. We had groups playing soccer (FAVORITE), painting faces, riding bikes (sweet!), and playing frisbee. We invited our friends here to join us at the park and just have fun! I was taking pictures today of the different teams and group activities! Katrina my good friend was able to see one of her contacts today and it was such a BLESSING! She is almost there are ready to receive Christ, she cried over her sins last night! God is speaking!!! PTL :D There was a Bible study at the park today with one of the interns and the contact asked JC into his heart!!! Also there was a BS with an older man tonight and my teammate Brian. we met this older man and I have told you a little about him before. He has a christian friend, Mr. X he had been learning about the bible from! Well this older man prayed to receive Christ tonight and we are praying that Mr. X will come out of hiding as a Japanese christian! After the park fun and awesome fruitful bible studies Katrina, Dustin and I went to eat some amazing food :) I ate some eel tonight and it was AWESOME! I love trying all the new foods here in Tokyo!

...prayers
-The two new believers today! pray for their hearts and that they will follow through in baptism
-Mr. x and his hidden christian identity
-Interns leading the bible studies! wisdom and understanding of the culture
-The opportunities at WBU in the fall
-A friend of mine is working in Wyoming this summer and is seeing God's amazing work there! Many youth age kids have come to know Christ! Please pray for these hearts as well and their families!

Today I actually got to meet my team that didn't show up last night! They ended up coming in about one hour after I had left their hostel and they got my message so that was good! The new team is a group of 4 men ranging in age form 25 to about 65 and they are great! We started orientation this morning with them at 9 am and things went great from there. We were able to sit with them, Jeff a M here, Brain and I and train them in our mission work and our vision for Tokyo this summer. The leader of this team was actually a M here in Japan 11 years ago and he was here for 12 years! How awesome is it that God has placed him here again this summer! Anyway after our meetings this morning we went ahead and ate some yummy food and found them a friendship party site for Friday night! We decided on Friday night at Shakey's for the party! We started off their week with 5ME and they loved it! One of the guys, actually the oldest one was so good at it! He just has a sweet amazing gentle smile and the Japanese people seemed to love him! the team was able to invite 3 or 4 people to dinner tonight at a different station! After 5ME we headed to our park! This sis the first time our team has been to our park because each Saturday we have been assigned something different to do. So we were all excited to go to the park for the first time and I love our new park! There are so many things to do at our park and this makes me happy! As we walked into the area there were so many merchants and little activities going on that we decided to tour the whole park before doing anything. The tour actually took our entire time and that was okay because now we know for next Saturday what we can do! There was a man painted white doing what you would see in NY. Different posing positions for long periods of time and just making money off his focus and ability to hold the pose. There was this awesome yoyo man that would throw his thing so high in the air and catch it and keep it going. There was the little face figure artists that draw your face and then cartoon your body. there was a violinist playing beautiful music which was so awesome. Probably only my family would know this but I use to play the violin so I was so amazed at this guy! Anyway Rachel and I decided that we were going to do face painting at our park this coming Saturday for FREE and see how it turns out. There are also paddle boats in the shape of swans for rent and I thought it was SO CUTE! I will do it sometime this summer :) We are praying about this face painting ministry and will update you guys on how it turns out. Anyway after touring the park and thinking about ideas for our ministry area there we headed to meet our new friends for dinner at the station. The 3 or 4 people that were invited didn't show up, but it is okay! The NC team was not discouraged and we went ahead and had some dinner at the station! Chinese dumplings = amazing :)

PR:
-New NC team and their obedience to come work this summer
-Strength to go throughout the long weeks they will have here with us
-Our team as we lead these 4 men throughout their time here
-New contacts at our university and train station
-swine flu at our university
-Interns and our love toward each other :D

day 16 :D

6/12/09
Well today I had half a day off in order to be ON CALL to pick up my new team! So at about 2 today I was suppose to be ready to pick up me team. Well today before two, Katrina my good friend here had her day off, so we went shopping for a little bit before I headed to pick up the team! So we went to Harajuku and enjoyed the day together shopping at a station I hadn't been to yet! They have some fun crazy used clothing stores and some awesome souvenir shops! h and by the way... I don't really know what people want as souvenirs so if you would like to offer me a hint and or tip to good souvenirs let me know! So I was suppose to get a call at about 2 to go get my new team, but I never did. So in order to save some money and time I stayed at this station and hung out with Katrina until I received my call! It never came, but I will get to that eventually :) Anyway so we ended up prayer walking a little bit in the area and just watching people and learning a little about the culture. There was a new store - Forever 21 that just opened up in the area. It was crazy to see the lines of people waiting to get it. There was security and guards around the doors, blew my mind. Anyways from what I understood, since Tokyo is a status and materialistic based city, the people want to bu the new clothes before others get them. I was able to spend some time praying over these people and the new store. We ate lunch at one of our usual places at the new station and our waiter was precious :) I just love Japanese people and even though I don't understand it, I know God is going to eventually make it clear to me one day! Well so it gets about 5:30 pm and I ha yet to receive my call, so I decided to just go ahead and make my way to wear the team would be staying. I thought perhaps the new team found their way to their hostel and ended up not needing us to get them there. Well so I go to the hostel where they have reservations and they had yet to show up. It wasn't a big deal and i wasn't too worried because the new team coming in is from NC and their leader was a M here for 12 years. So what is there to worry about!? Anyways I had a friendship party to attend at 6, just ended up showing up late since my team had yet to arrive! So i went to the final CBU party at TGIFridays! It was so expensive but it was such a great turnout for the CBU team! they have made many contacts while being here in Tokyo and have helped all of the interns out SO MUCH! There was around 35 to 40 friends at their party! God has continued to bless our team with many contacts! After dinner we all split into groups and I went with some of the girls that wanted to shop in Shibuya. We headed to a few stores and after everything these girls wanted was sold out, we headed back! We ended up at an ice cream parlor waiting for one group that was taking forever - but - hey God is in control! when the team came back they were able to share with us that the two guys they were with asked Jesus into their hearts! PTL!!! Also at one of the other train stations a female was saved as well! God is great and continues to bless Tokyo!

requests-
-pray for these new believers and their hearts
-CBU team leaves tomorrow morning for Yokahama
-new contacts from friendship party and becoming involved with an intern
-our team and the new team that hasn't shown up yet!

DAY FIFTEEN :)

I am caught up on my blogs and you guys should be proud!

Today was an early morning... I had to leave my apartment at 7:45 this morning to head to the international hostel in order to pick up the newest team that has arrived. They are a high school choir of 43 students from Georgia! It was a lot of students to handle that is for sure and with them being in high school... that was an experience! I had a great day though :) Let me tell you all about it though! So we picked them up this morning pretty early and with so many students not ready to leave, we actually were one hour late from leaving! When they finally got ready one of the interns and I led them to Hibiya park which neither one of us had been to! The team had a scheduled concert at noon today and it went amazing! It had been raining all morning and I have to say I was a little worried about people showing up... Anyway yesterday they passed out flyers during the day telling people about their concert and many came! There was about 50 people there and it was such an amazing sight to see these precious Japanese people enjoy this high school choir singing to them! It was a fun sight and Christ really blessed the choir with an audience! I was in tears when one of the elementary teachers brought her entire class into the seating area! I wish you could have seen this sight. To watch that teacher guide her students into their seats and have them sit there quietly listening to this worship music blew my mind! I was in tears and loved the fact the this teacher was so bold and so strong in her faith that she brought her students out of the classroom to this concert! I am such a cry baby :) It hurts me to know that all of those precious babies are lost in the darkness and the many gods of Japan. It hurts me. So after the concert we went ahead and ate at a restaurant in Ginza so that the team wouldn't be hungry when we went to the temple. So for the second time this summer I went to the largest temple in Tokyo and Christ continues to break my heart for these people. To see these gods and these statues and these fortunes and all the fake unrealistic things in the markets... it hurts. We led the large team through the temple and though they didn't get to spend much time touring it because of lack of time, I was able to really sit there and pray for these people. To watch these people bow down, so sad. Well the team had a bus to pick them up at 5 pm to head to their new hostel where they will stay for the next two weeks. When I returned to the cave i heard such amazing news!!! A male and a female were saved during the day! Also at night interns have bible studies with those interested and during the bible studies TWO females were saved :D How amazing is HE!!! Then right before I decided to go to bed, Brian my teammate came home from hanging out with one of his contacts... and she asked Christ into her heart! How amazing and i am so excited to start a bible study with her and Brian! our God is doing some amazing work here in Japan!

PR:
-5 new believers throughout the day today!
-Japanese people at the temple...
-New 43 man team/choir from Georgia
-CBU's last friendship party tomorrow night
-Bible studies that are going on!

4 - TEEN! :)

This is my last catch up blog :)

This is for Wednesday June 10th!

Today I had my favorite team today :) The Cali choir was with me today and it was an amazing day and I can't wait to tell you!!! Okay so here I go!.. We started out an hour later today which was great to sleep a little extra! We were at Seikei University today and we started out prayer walking :) Always preparing the ground for God's work! So in one of my last blogs I mentioned a suicide last week in the library, so I focused my prayer around this area today and the hearts of the students here. We met for lunch at noon and went off and met new people! I met two girls with Brian who he had previously met before and we had a great talk! She is interested in learning more and is an English major! Well we had a class to go to at 12:45 with our second christian FACULTY member!!! Let me just say this is a huge blessing to our campus and potentially to the students! We went into the classroom and were blessed to have a Hawaiian group doing the hula to SHOUT TO THE LORD!!! I didn't expect this at all and I was so excited and overwhelmed by it! So the CBU choir and the Hawaiians switched back and forth singing and dancing for my JESUS! :D I had an opportunity to share with a guy about the Gospel and he was interested but because of lack of faith and culture he said he wanted to stop talking about it. Please pray for his precious heart. So we were in class till they kicked us out... well basically they had a case of swine flu in the school and have closed the campus for a week! I know I would be excited had it been me in school! So we were getting ready to leave and two CBU girls were still talking to two of the Japanese students... They were deep in conversation and asked me to come over! The girls were praying and asking Jesus into their hearts! How amamamamamamazzzzing is that! Let me just say there were tears in my eyes and I couldn't speak! please pray for these new sisters in Christ! WOO HOO! So we had to leave because of the swine flu, so the CBU team and I headed to our train station! Well the team decided they would sing 3 songs and then go talk to people and then break and then continue this process from 3 to 6...! It went amazing! We didn't do 5ME today because the cops asked us to leave during FBS last time we were at the station. So it was going great and we were able to hand out many tracts and gospels to those who were wanting more and asking questions. So it was about 5 and the team was getting tired but they stayed strong and chose to do one more round of 3 songs! Well guess what God was working in two men's hearts and they asked JESUS into their hearts! How amazing is HIS work today... :D So after this we invited our new friends to dinner and we went down in the town. We stopped by the 100 yen store and I was able to get some groceries! The CBU team leaves on Friday so we went ahead and scheduled their friendship party. I will see them Friday night for the last time and have enjoyed seeing God use their group and our team to further HIS kingdom!

Prayer requests:
-Both female students who accepted Christ!
-Both males who accepted Christ at the train station!
-The preparation for the Bible studies, one is starting tomorrow :D
-The CBU team and their obedience - praise HIM!
-I have a new team of 43 students tomorrow.... FUN!

This is for June 8th - Monday!

Today is orientation day and I didn't wake up till noon! I stayed up talking to my sister last night. Orientation went really well today we focused on unity again! The wigtakes (whatever it is gonna take) had our meeting together and we shared prayer requests together and I will write them on the bottom if you would like to pray over them. 2 men came to Christ last night at karaoke church! How amazing is God's work here in Tokyo!!! :D Please pray for these hearts of the new believers. Our fellowship time today with all the interns was a lot of fun! We caught up on our week and shared fun times and more prayer requests. We had an amazing worship service today together. We also spent time with our station teams and loved on each other! For dinner we shared some amazing sandwiches and I am not being sarcastic!!! We did a game that was to encourage our brothers and sisters that I really liked! Basically it was an acrostic of each team members name and you could add encouraging words and or scripture. i really took the time to invest in my teammates and write scriptures that were uplifting and loving. Today was an amazing day as a team of interns and I enjoyed being able to rest!

jyuichi - eleven!

I am still catching up!!! Don't hate on me!!! :)

This blog is for June 7th :) Sunday!

Today is church day and we are all together at Kogonei park for church! :) It didn't rain today!!! :) It was a great day and I really enjoyed a day of rest and fun times at the park with all the interns and our volunteer teams.. We still have the choir here from Cali and they sang for us during worship time and we enjoyed a great bible study together! We are still praying over our team and building unity! Please join with us in praying for unity this summer. The enemy is trying to tear us apart as we try to become a close team! He will not win though! Today was an at rest day for the team and I was able to dive deep in the word today. I was pretty excited and I got a lot of scripture read today and learned a lot. It is amazing how much Christ has spoken to me in only two weeks time here in Japan! I love it! It was nice to pull myself all together after a long week and restore myself spiritually for what this next week has in store! I refocused my view and reminded myself that everything was about the BOTTOM LINE! All about making His name famous in this beautiful nation of Japan. I was able to pray for my station today and continue to water the seeds that we have been planting in recent days! God is going to do amazing work this summer.

Tomorrow is orientation day so I have half a day off tomorrow until 2 when my meetings start! I ended up staying up till 4 in the morning talking to my sister and catching up with her. It really helped and though I miss family, I do not miss home :) Thank you for your prayers over my family and accepting that I am in Japan all summer away from them.

prayer REQUESTS:
-Mitaka train station: today as bible study and we had no contacts show up.
-Seikei University and the seed planting that is taking place!
-Our volunteer teams and their obedience to God's calling this summer. Pray that they will have strength to finish this week strong!
-Unity among all the interns and the volunteer teams.
-Having Christ-like love and forbearance!

-d-a-y- TEN!

I am still trying to catch up on my blogs so this is for Saturday 6/6/09

Well today was a rocky day for our team, but we pulled it all together at the end of the day! I love my team--Rachel and Brian and we are daily growing closer to HIM together! So today we were with another team from Higashikoganei to work with the CBU choir team! We went to the largest temple in Tokyo and it really broke my heart. So we broke into smaller groups of 2 or 3 with the CBU students and prayer walked all over the temple grounds for about 2 hours. So I will start off by telling you a little about the temple. You enter into the temple grounds by going under a huge lamp. This lamp is for lighting the path for their "gods" to enter the temple and provide for them enough light. I found this pretty ironic considering the one true God is the light in our life. It is sad to see these people worship these many gods of Japan and be so lost. As you enter under the light there are two huge demon statues on the left and the right o the lantern. these demons are standing there on guard of the temple gates in order to keep the demons out of the temple these people are worshiping. As you enter into the temple grounds you are surrounded by so many booths and stores selling small gods and small replicas of the temple and little things people buy. The money that is made off all these profits is put towards building a bigger and bigger temple and adding on to it. We made sure not to buy anything, so that if people saw this they wouldn't get it confused with us supporting the temple. Anyway as you enter and walk further there is a children's daycare on the actual temple grounds. This broke my heart to know that these children under 5 years old see this temple everyday and are raised watching people worshiping the many gods that are not even there! So finally I got closer to the large temple doors and before you enter there are many "stations". There is a place you go pay money to get your fortune, you shake up the jar and a fortune pops out. If you do not like the fortune you are given you tie it on a rope and if you do like your fortune you take it home with you. If you leave the bad fortune tied to the rope and do not take it home, it is said that you will not have the bed fortune and it will go away. Sad stuff that these people are being fooled. Another area is the burning of incense. There is a large tub of burning incense that smells so bad or did to me. the Japanese people come to this incense and loft it on themselves or touch the ashes and rub it on themselves or their hurt body parts. They believe that the more that is on their younger children the more power they will have... There is a station to wash their hands and cleanse themselves right before entering the temple. As I walked into the temple I was very overwhelmed by how many lost people were in there searching for a got to answer their prayers. I wish that we were given the opportunity to share with everyone of these lost souls that the only god that will ever answer their prayers is the one true God. there are two large money pits that people throw their money into to get good fortune back to them and they bow down to this huge alter. I was hurt to see the LARGE amounts of money these people would throw in to this false god. beside one of the alters is the abortion candle chamber. The people pay money to light a candle for their aborted baby. It is said that if they light the candle the spirit of the aborted baby will not come back to haunt them. This made me cry inside to know that these Japanese people felt haunted by these lost babies. It was very sad to see so many people walk up to this area and light the candles. As we were in the temple we prayed allover these stations and the many gods that were all over the temple grounds. We were able to pray specific prayers for people and their needs. Throughout the summer I will be going to this temple often, so I know the Lord will show me many more things that need prayer.

After spending the morning at the temple, oh and seeing a wedding! We went to eat as a team then headed to the park for evangelism with the CBU team. The choir didnt get to sing to many people but they were able to sing to some walking by. It was a slow park ministry day but there were several opportunities still presented to us through the singing! there was a little down time while at the park so Katrina and I, one of my good intern friends, went around and took pictures and enjoyed the beautiful day together with this team! They were able to practice several of their songs together that they will be performing later this summer in front of crowds! Tonight was the CBU team's first friendship party and it went AMAZING! As these teams make contacts they invite them to friendship parties and we give the mangas like I have said before! We actually didn't bring enough mangas for the number of people that showed up! Christ really blessed their party and allowed more contacts to be added! We ended up having to break into two groups at two different restaurants to fit everyone inside to eat! The day ended much better than it started and we were all tired at the end of the day!

PR:
-The friendship party went so well... pray for these contacts and their interest in learning about JC and the opportunities that arise!
-CBU choir team and their dedication to serving this summer here in japan
-The temple grounds that one day these walls will fall down and the many gods will be vanished form this nation!
-Team unity :)
-Park ministry and ll the opportunities that arise from this!

day NINE!!!

I am catching up :) This is for Friday June 5th :)

Well today I had the California Baptist University team with me at my campus and it went amazing! This is a choir team from CBU that has come to sing and create opportunities to share about JC! Today definitely didn't go as it was planned, but Christ really led our day! The plan of the day was for prayer walking until lunch time, lunch time of meeting new friends on Seikei campus, and then heading to Mitaka for 5ME! Well short story... we never made it to Mitaka because Christ definitely had different plans for us today! Today is Brian's day off so the team was with rachel and I at our university and we split into twos in order to prayer walk to he campus. Christ has really shown me that no work can be done anywhere if we do not go to him in prayer FIRST! So we all went off and began prayer walking for our university and were to meet back up at 12 for lunch hour. The cafeteria gets really busy at about 12:20 so I had planned for them to eat and then start singing some when they felt it was a good time. Well so then team met up at 12 except two of the guys on the choir team, so I sent the team off with Rachel to eat in the caf and waited around for the guys... Well they never showed up and long story short they ended up at a community center. They ran into a 67 year old lady that had her own choir and asked them to come join in on practice tonight at 7! Well so that definitely wasn't on the schedule, but we decided to do this and see what the opportunities would be. Somewhere between this time and the time it took them to get the the caf after already being late the boys ran into one of the 2 known CHRISTIAN professors at our university! How amazing is that :D Christ allowed these guys to already find us contacts on the campus! So we were invited to come to her class at 2:50 and help her students learn english! So that was the new plan of our day today and we just went with it! We finished lunch and the CBU team met many contacts after singing to the people in the caf and they invited them out for dinner at Shakey Pizza tonight! So we went to this class and it ended up that these students were testing one on one today with the teacher so the choir entertained the class as the students went in one on one to test. I met a new contact and was able to help him with this test! He was so excited that I helped him learn some english and our new teacher contact told me he did so well! I was happy for him :) Anyway so the choir sand for them and when class ended at 4:20 we headed to Shakeys for dinner! they had at least 10 of their new friends show up and it was a great fun dinner with our new Japanese friends :) One of which I have been told is VERY interested in learning more about JC and having FBS! The teacher has asked my team to return to her classes on Friday's to help her students with english. Please pray that we are able to invest in these students lives!

Galations 6:9

We went to the choir practice and it was an all aged choir and they were precious :) I really enjoy older people, so I had a great time singing with them and learning a few Japanese songs. the CBU team sang for them after their practice was over and the older singers LOVED it! They were so happy the team was able to come and sing with them! As the team sang about JC, the elders were able to ask questions and like every time they sang. Rachel and I were able to tell these Japanese people why the choir had come to sing and who they were singing about!

PR:
-Please pray for our new teacher contact and the opportunities that this has presented us with! Apparently there is one other Christian teacher at our university that also wants us to help!
-Pray that this other teacher contact will be great in reaching Seikei University :)
-We found out today that yesterday on campus there was a suicide in the library. Please pray for these students and the family of the lost one. There are one suicides a day in Tokyo. Please pray for these lost hearts, they have no hope and we have come to offer them the HOPE IN JESUS!
-Pray for the CBU choir team and their time here with us.
-Bless the older choir team and the questions they have about the beautiful singing the CBU sang for them.
-pray for the hearts of the students that were met today in the caf and in the classroom. Pray that the Shakey's friends will be invested in by this team and may draw interest in our Father.

day 8 :)

So I know I am a little behind... okay more than a little but I am updating now on my day off :)
Thank you for being patient and reminding me! It means a lot that you guys are reading my posts and daily praying for our needs here in Japan!

So this blog is for Thursday the 4th :)

Today was our first distribution day and it went really well. We ran out of hope tracts to distribute 30 minutes earlier than expected so that was great news! I think we probably distributed about 1000 or so within the hour and a half we did it! Our distribution process will take place all summer long. We have been assigned the Mitaka area to reach twice so right now we distribute a tract that is for a free cd about Jesus Christ. Then after we reach all these houses and apartments we will return to them later in the summer and distribute the Gospel of John to every house and apartment! Today was my first day of 5 minute english! 5ME is something we will do everyday except Sunday in order to reach people in Tokyo. 5ME is a really easy task to do. Our team stands there with several signs that read 5ME in Japanese and english. The people who would like to do a free 5ME lesson walk up to us and we are able to help them practice their english and prayerfully present the gospel to them. I was able to talk to two people over a 3 hour period and I was so happy about this! I talked to one girl for about 30 minutes to 45 minutes. I was able to tell her a lot about why I was here and get into a spiritual conversation with her, but when it came to wanting to walk through the summary of the bible she wasn't very interested. So in turn I just decided to invest in her and continue to help her with her english. As we spoke she started asking me more questions about why i was there and why I was offering free english lessons. So even though she wasn't interested she sure did want to talk about it still! So from the beginning of the presentation of the Gospel she wasn't interested, but 45 minutes later she wanted to have the summary of the Bible! I was happy to share with her this small piece and we prayed together and she ran off. Please pray that she will continue to want to know more and more about the Word and find me on another day in Mitaka! About 30 minutes later an older man came up to me and wanted to speak english! This is unusual in Tokyo because usually the older generations do not know english but the younger ones do because they are being taught in school. So I went along talking to this man and pouring into him as he worked on his english. He actually lived in the states while getting his doctorate in science and continued to learn english till this day. he was a very smart man, but because of his science background and his continuous studies in this field, he was resistant to the Word. He knew about it and that there was only one true God, but he said it was not for him to believe. When living in the states his host family took him to church every Sunday with them, but he never accepted Jesus. So at the end of our conversation and after many questions of why i was here in Japan, I asked him if I could pray for him. Of course he let me because Japanese people are very kind and as I prayed he continued to thank me. Please pray that this man will search for the real science of this world. We were created by our Father! After 5ME for 3 hours or so we had a session of free bible study with one of our M's serving here in Tokyo. For FBS we stand there with these huge signs and those interested in a free bible come to us. I did this last night for 4 hours with Brian! So today only Rachel and Brian had to do it the whole time because I had a dinner with one of my contacts from Asia University. Well it ended up that we got kicked out of Mitaka train station for doing FBS so they ended up going to Shibuya which is where we live and the largest cross section in Tokyo is! I believe it was a very fruitful night for them at FBS. I have dinner with one of my contacts and one of her friends. These girls are Chinese, so because of that I have no material to offer them and no materials to do a FBS, but because the Lord has blessed me with this friendship and this contact I will continue to invest in their lives. Dinner was amazing and cost me 1300 yen which is way expensive considering we get 500 a meal!!! But it was totally worth it :) I had octopus, sushi two kinds actually, salad, oysters, chickens, pig intestines, and several other fun things :) This was my first time with real sushi... :D It was amazing and I cant wait to have more :) My friend knows why I am in Japan and please pray that even though there are no materials in Chinese for her that there will be an opportunity to present the Gospel to her. There has been a seed planted and the Father is teaching me it grows in time! I pray one day she will find our Father who will truly love her unconditionally! Tomorrow I have the CBU team!

PR-
-Since we have been kicked off Mitaka station for FBS please pray that we will still be able to have 5ME and evangelism still taking place here.
-Please pray for my contact at Asia University and the Chinese barrier there. Please pray that the lack of materials in this language will not be a problem.
-Pray for the CBU team and their time here with us serving as volunteers.
-Pray for the two 5ME opportunites I was given today and that they will continue to search for the one true God.

day SEVEN!!!

Well today was my first OFFICIAL campus outreach day! We went to the campus at about 10 am this morning and started off with finding all the hotspots and prayer walking. We did this till about 11:30 when we finally decided to get some lunch! Well today was my fasting day...I will talk about this later. So in short story I got me some water and no food! Well I started off trying to talk to a few girls individually but because of language barriers I was unable to talk to any of those girls. So I decided to focus on prayer and Christ placing someone in my path. I sat there till about 12:30 praying for at least 30 minutes after the failed attempts. A girl sat by me and after convincing myself to be bold and not worry about language barriers, I went for it! Even though after 4 sentences I realized there was a HUGE language barrier :) So I smiled and told her it was nice to meet her! As I turned back to my seat and Japanese guy tapped on my shoulder!!! We sat there and talked for about 10 minutes and he asked if we could meet for lunch on Friday! So Brian, one of my teammates and I have a "date" (not literally) with this new contact of mine! I am so excited because this is my first contact at my new university!!! I asked about the english club and he has told me one of his good friends is in the club and Friday he will give me that information! We want to become a part of the english club because these clubs stress english speaking practice with americans and this is a great opportunity for them and US! At about 2 we left our campus to head to Shibuya, which is where our apartment is, to do free bible study! Well it went really well and I enjoy FBS because the people know what the are getting into when they come up to us. Generally they just want the tract and the gospel of John, but every now and then some of them will want to talk about it and go over the tract with us! So today we worked there from 2-6, handed out about 35 total and talked to about 20 individually! We had one guy ask to take part in a bible study, so he starts next wednesday! Brian and I ate a cheap place that was yummy before heading back to the cave!
So some great news :) My very first contact that I had dinner with last week from Asia University has contacted me and wants to have dinner tomorrow at 7:30! So I am so excited about this opportunity :) So now I have two contacts that have been texting me throughout the day and I love it so much!!! It is so exciting to know these new friends of mine are interested in hearing the GREAT news of our JC!!!

PRAYER REQUESTS!!
-Pray for the new university I have been placed at - SEIKEI University!
-Please pray for my two contacts. One from Asia Univ and one from Seikei Univ.
-Tomorrow night my team is working at MITAKA our station and doing free bible study. Please pray that this goes well. It will be our first time doing FBS at our station.
-Yesterday I do not know if I told you guys, but we had a girl accept Christ at Asia Univ! I may have said this already, but pray that her heart is loving her new father!!!
-Some of the interns have home sickness and are experiencing a little withdrawals... nothing big but prayer is still needed
-Tomorrow is going to be a long day for my team... we generally are off work by 6, but tomorrow ends at 9 pm... please pray for strength.
